Performance in room with a DSLR

Topics: performance art; somatic practice; focusing; body

The performance was done during the lockdown. I was interested in how I could listen to my body and express the feelings that it wants to express in such an agitated moment of being physically contained within the confines of four walls. While doing the performance, I was not depicting feelings, but rather experiencing the shape of my surrounding space, feeling a sense of freedom in the space.

Reacting, tensing, relaxing, gravitating and moving, without conscious judgement or interpretation. This was a performative piece that sought to better engage the self with the non-human world.
