Stemming from my need to feel a greater sense of belonging to the new environment in London, I explored my feelings and emotions being in three different kinds of space through photography and creative writing. The cover of the book is a cut out shape to reveal an oil pastel drawing, symbolising the moon and water. The iconography alludes to the seemingly close yet unreachable distance I have with my surrounding environment through the constant play of familiarity and unfamiliarity.
